Many thanks to coaches:
Driver Coach Riki Christodoulou, Performance Coach Louise Keith, and Rob Wilson for countless rounds in the hire car at Bruntingthorpe!

2019 Take-Away:

I come away from 2019 with much learning gained in a very competitive series. Learning a new car, British circuits, testing, qualifying & racing in wet conditions, and racing against a field of talented drivers built a great foundation for 2020. I look forward to putting this learning to work and great racing in 2020. – Kaylen Frederick

Fast Bytes: Despite two engine failures in qualifying, Kaylen settled into Race 1 with race control. Kaylen bested the race leaders with well-timed drafts & passes on the Kemmel Straight into Les Combes followed by fastest times in sector 2, allowing him to escape the draft. Regrettable incidents and car damages in Race 2 & 3 left Kaylen bereft of points along with a downward climb in the championship points (now 8th).

BRDC British F3: Races 16, 17, & 18

Brands Hatch Circuit, England
2.43 Mile/3.9 km Circuit

Race 2: (Reverse Grid Race) 12th Place Race Start | DNF (Lap 10 Incident)
Race 3: 5th Place Race Start | 5th Place Finish

Fast Bytes: Brands pays dividends to qualifying well. Passing at Brands Hatch is difficult among fast drivers. Those that tried ended with a DNF (including Kaylen).

BRDC British F3: Races 19, 20, & 21

Silverstone GP Circuit, England
3.66 Miles/5.89 Km Circuit
August 17th & 18th

Qualifying: P7 & P10
Race 1:

Race 3: 10th Place Race Start | 10th Place Finish
Fast Bytes: Poor outcomes in qualifying and penalties set the stage for a disappointing weekend and results. Qualifying position was compromised as Kaylen Frederick was tripped up by drivers lifting and backing into him on the crucial final three laps.

BRDC British F3: Races 22, 23, & 24

Donington Park Circuit, UK
2.49 Miles/4.02 Km Circuit
September 14th & 15th

Qualifying: P8 & P8
Race 1:
 8th Place Start | 7th Place Finish
Race 2: (Reverse Grid Race) 8th Place Race Start | 8th Place Finish (hit into the gravel at Lap1/Turn 1 and re-entered 13th to regain 5 positions)
Race 3: 8th Place Race Start | 7th Place Finish (hit off course at Lap 1/Turn 4 and re-entered 13th to finish 7th)
Fast Bytes: Poor qualifying relegated Carlin drivers to mid-field. Starting on the outside in all three races contributed to poor race results as drivers on the inside muscled outsiders off course. Kaylen impressed over the weekend, completing all three races yet driving with significant race craft, aggressive in overtakes, and making the most of P8 race starts.
