Qualifying Position: 17th Place

Qualifying | March 3rd: 17th Position

In a qualifying session full of incidents, Kaylen Frederick rolled into a hot lap in the last six minutes of the session. With sectors 1 & 2 looking top 10 and more laps to come, a crash in sector 3 spread debris all over the track with many drivers avoiding and braking. Coming into the slowed traffic K strayed onto the dirty part of the track and crashed into the wall. This was too bad as he was P10 going into the lap and still had another lap to go. Following the red flag, the track went green and K dropped in the order to 17th.

Race 1 | April 1st/Saturday Sprint Race:

Starting Position: 17th Place
Finish Position: 10th Place (1 point)

Race 2 | April 2nd/Sunday Feature Race:

Starting Position: 17th Position
Finish Position: DNF

After advancing to 14th in the opening laps of the race, a red flag brought out the safety car. In a career first, Kaylen crashed into his teammate during the safety car and pulled off track, unable to complete the race. Swerving to warm the tires while glancing at the dashboard, Kaylen collected an important and crushing lesson in focus & attention.

Championship Round-up:

Finishing the weekend in 17th for the championship, Kaylen will focus energies with the team in preparing for Imola.
